No, your eyes aren’t deceiving you – but don’t panic, you’ve not been transported to a parallel universe where children rule the world – this is KidZania at Dubai Mall! The mini city is complete with streets, buildings, shops and an aircraft all scaled down to a smaller, child-friendly size and all fully functioning.
Children can dress up and role-play 70 different roles – they can even work as pilots or act as cabin crew offering a mock trolley service and making realistic in-flight PA announcements.
Emirates check-in desks are set up at the main entrance point where children can “check-in”, get their boarding passes, go through x-ray machines and enter the ‘new city’.

The cruise season between January and April has become a major success story with ever increasing numbers of ships using the specialised Dubai Cruise Terminal as a hub for their programmes.
Royal Caribbean International, spurred on by fantastic sales results last winter, will be bringing the Brilliance of the Seas back to Dubai in November 2011. The enhanced 2011-2012 Dubai-based season of Brilliance of the Seas will be the ship’s third year based from the destination, following a second year of winter cruises from January until April 2011. Featured ports of call include Fujairah and Abu Dhabi in the UAE and Muscat, Oman.
Jo Rzymowska, associate vice president and general manager, Royal Caribbean International, UK and Ireland, commented: “Dubai is very popular with UK and Irish travellers. The chance to explore more of the Middle East, Arabian Sea and even India make these additional longer sailings truly exciting options for agents to maximise.”

Convenience is key in Dubai, even when leaving. So Emirates has now introduced self-service check in kiosks at key Dubai Metro stations following a relaxation of the regulations governing luggage on the Metro, taking some of the stress out of the journey home.
Passengers can now use the machines to access their boarding passes up to two hours before departure and travel directly to Emirates Terminal 3. The new machines are located at Mall of the Emirates, Burj Khalifa/Dubai Mall and Financial Centre Metro stations on the Red line so more time for last minute shopping.
