BURJ DUBAI OBSERVATION DECKOn top of the world

Dubai is ever striving for new heights of spectacular architecture and the Burj Dubai is now the world’s tallest building. On the vertiginous 124th-floor of this amazing development (due to open before the end of the year), visitors can take in sweeping vistas of Dubai. A truly breath-taking experience, the world’s highest observation deck ‘At The Top’ is also home to an interactive exhibition detailing the history and evolution of Dubai. Thomas Dempsey, general manager of Burj Dubai, said: “The entire journey – starting from the welcome lobby at The Dubai Mall, through a 65-metre travelator, then the vertical trip in a double-deck elevator, to finally watching the world uninterrupted from Level 124 – is educational, inspirational, compelling and thoroughly fulfilling.” Burj Dubai is over 800 metres high and has more than 160 storeys – the most floors in any building anywhere in the world!

MONTGOMERIE DUBAI

Hole in one!

One of Dubai’s most stylish hotel brands – The Address Hotels + Resorts – has now broadened its appeal by acquiring the The Montgomerie Dubai golf club and boutique hotel. The 21-room ‘retreat’ property will attract golf fans and fashionistas alike, offering The Address’ signature personalised service style. The golf course and adjoining golf academy will continue to be managed by Troon Golf and will be a great additional benefit for guests at the hotel who can also enjoy 24-hour check-in and free internet access. Top international golfer Colin Montgomerie, who gave his name to the course, said: “The association of The Address brand is a great added benefit for The Montgomerie in Dubai and is certain to further strengthen its appeal.”
