Whole world in its hands

Dubai World Trade Centre (DWTC) has embarked on an impressive multi-billion dollar venture to expand Dubai’s infrastructural capabilities, enabling the emirate’s growth as a global destination for networking, business and lifestyle.

Hailed as one of the region’s most ambitious development plans to date, DWTC will create two large-scale commercial destinations: Dubai Trade Centre Jebel Ali and Dubai Trade Centre District.

The former is a 7 square kilometre integrated commercial destination anchored by Dubai Exhibition Centre (DBX). It will have almost 1.3 million square feet of exhibition space at its launch, growing to over 3.2 million square feet by the final phase, providing a modern venue that is capable of hosting the world's largest and most prestigious events.

The 100 per cent increase in exhibition space provided by DBX will also afford the scope to immediately increase the size of some of the region's most successful trade events, such as CityScape, Gitex, Gulfood, Arabian Travel Market, and Arab Health.

The Dubai Trade Centre District is positioned at the core of Dubai’s business and financial district, encompassing the current exhibition centre and surrounding areas and stretching along Sheikh Zayed Road to Emirates Towers. The district will create a new business quarter at the epicentre of the region's most dynamic city, offering premium office space, high-end retail and lifestyle outlets; a range of luxury and business hotels and serviced apartments

Located in the new Jumeirah Beach Residence complex, between the new Dubai Marina and the beaches of Jumeirah, the new Mövenpick Hotel Jumeirah Beach has 298 rooms, including 13 suites and 45 executive club rooms. There are also three fantastic daylight meeting rooms with state-of-the-art audio-visual equipment and a business centre support service.

Mövenpick Hotels & Resorts are synonymous with warm-hearted hospitality, affordability and quality, the perfect environment for a successful meeting or event. And watch this space because Mövenpick is opening another five properties in 2009 alone.

The Square Dubai, and Dubai Laguna Tower are two of the hotels we’re eagerly awaiting an update on. But we know what to expect from Oceana Resort & Spa. Located on the trunk of the Palm Jumeirah opposite the Golden Mile Shopping Boulevard. There’ll be eight daylight meeting rooms with the latest audio visual technology plus a business centre.

Then there’s the Ibn Battuta Gate Hotel & Spaon the main Sheikh Zayed Road adjacent to the Ibn Battuta shopping mall. It features 17 meeting rooms for up to 100 people, a business centre and ballroom for up to 200.

And don’t forget, also opening in 2009 is The Royal Amwaj Resort & Spa. Located on the outer crescent of the famous Palm Jumeirah, it houses four daylight meeting rooms equipped with the latest technology, a business centre and ballroom for up to 300.
